When it comes to video games, it's true what they say... They don't make 'em like they used to. Do you remember how simple it was to pick up a game and instantly know the controls? Back in the 80s and 90s we didn't need hours of tutorial levels. We just knew one thing... Take out the bad guys!
Luckily the simple pleasures of yesteryear can be relived here in London. Down in Peckham you can find a bar jam packed with retro arcades.
Appropriately titled The Four Quarters, players must exchange British currency for American quarters. Gamers would then slot said coins into their fave cabinet machine.

If you're like me, this type of action will take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. There's nothing like the hazy days in the arcades at Blackpool, Skegness or Southend when you were a kid!
During my visit, this awesome saloon came complete with old school titles such as:
Time crisis 2
Double dragon
Teenage mutant ninja turtles
House of the dead 2
Tekken 2
Off road
Pacman
Street fighter
Neo Geo compilation
Golden axe
Fans of pin ball can enjoy Ghostbusters and Tron versions of the game - Now that's 80s pop culture right there!

For me, it is a great option for those who love retro gaming. Yes it's possible to play emulations at home. But it's not the same as putting your fingers to joy sticks and buttons. One memory that will came flooding back to me is that older games were 'effin hard! Just try getting through the first Double Dragon level with one life!

I found the bar itself to feel grungy and alternative. This was coupled with the upbeat guitar music being played. Additional memorable items can be found across the venue. These include VHS classics, posters and WWF action figures.

If you grew up in the 80s, chances are your childhood was awesome! And it can be relived in SWE15 - A must visit.
