Is there anything as fluffy as a rabbit!? As feathery as a duck? Or maybe as cuddly as a snake.... OK, well maybe not the last one. But if you're looking to get hands-on with new friends that bah, chirp and squeak, then Crystal Palace is the place to be!
Easter is approaching and this could be a real chance for kids to meet some cute, hoping bunnies. Dotted around the small farm are a number of creatures that are bound to put a smile on your face. So why not head on down and release your inner Dr Doolittle. A number of furry, fun friends are waiting for you to pop by and say hello. Residents include:
Rabbits
Guinea pigs
Parakeets
Snakes
Ducks
Goats
Pigs
Ponies
Cats

You might even be lucky enough to see new born baby animals depending on what time of year you visit. When I popped by, I saw a baby lamb looking as cute as it gets.
Some animals are tucked away in their enclosures, so not all of them can be petted. However, I found the larger creatures such as the goats and ponies welcomed a jolly old fuss.

The more elusive characters I've seen who call this place home are the cats. Unlike the other animals they roam freely and are very friendly when approached. But they're often not seen as they may be busy on the prowl elsewhere.

There are plenty of free activities in London and to me, this is one of the best! Where else can you become buddies with cute critters and have a real educating experience? Crystal Palace Park Farm is especially appealing to kids of all ages. There's nothing like seeing their little faces when they meet new little faces.
The Park hosts further other activities within walking distance. So why not make a day of it? On a hot day it'll be fun to add the free hedge maze and peddle boats to your itinerary.
