The weather is scorching and it seems the whole city is flocking to the great outdoors! Baking in the hot sun in local greenery is part and parcel of London's staple summer diet. While sitting in the grass is relaxing, it doesn't compare to rocking in a light vessel in the middle of a pond.
You're probably familiar with the well known pedal boats in the serpentine. But did you know there are a number of lakes across the capital with rafts for hire. All of which are affordable.

Splashing your way across the waters is a simple way to make great summer memories. Couples may find it especially romantic to hold hands and kick through the water together. If permitted, you may want to pack a few nick-knacks to cool you down. Especially an ice cold fizzy drink or ice-lolly.
If you prefer not to work up a sweat in this heat. You can always drift to the middle, relax and catch some sun rays. Either way, with such low prices it's an ideal way to add a little spice to your sizzling weekend.
